Survey: Which market will German carmakers lead in the next five years?
12 July 2019
German carmakers are pushing forward with a number of programmes in order to ensure the country remains a leading European force in the automotive industry.
However, with the high costs, not to mention risks, associated with new developments, some manufacturers have pooled their resources to deliver the best results at the best budget. Currently, there are agreements between Daimler and BMW for mobility services and autonomous development, while BMW is partnering with Jaguar Land Rover on electric strategies and VW and Ford are coming together for electric and autonomous research.
With this in mind, Autovista Group is asking which market you believe that German carmakers will lead in the next five years. Will they have surged ahead in battery electric vehicle (BEV) production, or will autonomous systems be the backbone of the industry? Could mobility services lead the way or will traditional internal combustion engines still be the mainstay?
