Summary of the Role

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will manage the full spectrum of the financial planning & analysis function for Austria and Switzerland. As a direct report to senior management, you will lead the management reporting process, budgeting, forecasting and business-related analysis to provide useful insights. As a key business partner within the finance team, you will be working closely with the senior management such as Commercial Directors, Sales and Marketing Heads, Operations as well as central finance teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • To report and analyse financial results of the region
  • To enable understanding of commercial performance of the business
  • To prepare monthly outlooks, annual quarterly forecasts and budgets
  • To prepare and support month-end-closing process
  • To influence key business decisions makers to ensure the right commercial outcome based on sound and comprehensive financial analysis and bring financial rig and focus to business decisions
  • Focus on revenue management and pricing controlling
  • Consolidation of regional financial information
  • Monitor revenue and profitability growth based on strategic and budget targets and propose corrective actions where necessary
  • Continuous improvement of standard processes with focus on cross country process standardization
  • Analysing Group KPIs and turning insights into action

Skills, Education and Behviour

  • German and English fluent
  • Business / accounting degree or equivalent
  • Experience in a FP&A /Controlling position demonstrating influence on commercial decisions
  • Commercially aware, excellent communicator and strong interpersonal skills to deal with management and staff in different cultural environments
  • Earlier experience of working with the sales teams will be a clear asset
  • Strong reporting and confident verbal communication skills
  • Numeric / strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to describe complex circumstances in a simple but accurate way
  • Drive to continually improve processes and seek new challenges
  • Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail, and meeting deadlines
  • Positive “Can do attitude” and business partner mentality, open to changing environments
  • Very good knowledge of CRM/Financial consolidation/Reporting/office tools (e.g. Salesforce, Onestream, MS Office)
  • Understanding of subscription based business will be an advantageupport change
