DEPARTMENT

The Specifications and Repair department is responsible for the strategic direction and definition of our specification and repair data and data products. The department sets group wide content standards, methodologies and policies, and ensures these are aligned with customer needs.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

This role ensures that Autovista has a group wide defined set of standards and quality processes in operation that drive results in the area of Specifications. The post holder has responsibility for the execution and delivery of reports for Specifications for the group. The post holder supports the Quality Manager Specifications and Head of Specifications in the analysis of data to decide and set group-wide data standards.

For the avoidance of doubt, Specifications includes: Search Tree and Identification via VRM or VIN, Technical data, Equipment data, Configuration data with includes, excludes and formulas, and Images.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that our group wide specification dataset product fully meets the requirements of our customers
  • Execute and deliver quality measurement and reporting according to the defined process
  • Ensure that regular Specifications quality reports are produced and distributed for the areas of time-to-market, completeness, accuracy and, where appropriate, coverage
  • Be a key data specialist and knowledge holder of the dataset
  • Support the development and rollout of a new and complete set of data standards
  • Support data entering team in understanding the group standards and processes for ensuring these standards are met
  • Communicate to countries and their teams new rules and changes on them, as well as train them about these changes or the initiative improvements 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Deep understanding of automotive data
  • Demonstrate understanding of data quality processes and measurements
  • Demonstrate understanding of data creation and manipulation tools
  • Working with data creation teams who manage and build data
  • Be confident and capable to focus on delivery and meeting customer expectations
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • Analytical independent way of working and thinking
  • Good English language skills
  • Basic knowledge in query databases
