Location: UK/ Flexible

The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for all data protection and other related risk management activities, in order to ensure Autovista Group remains in compliance with all aspects of our data protection obligations and wider legislation that may impact data protection.

You will be expected to develop detailed knowledge of risk & compliance including governance processes within the company. You will support the Head of Cyber Security and the Chief Information Security Officer in analysing the current compliance of Autovista Group, determining the efficacy of governance and compliance activities, reporting on any weaknesses and recommending appropriate further enhancements to the Group’s compliance regime.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Working knowledge of:

  • data protection regulatory requirements
  • risk management and risk assessment tools and techniques
  • Information & cyber security concepts
  • artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and legislation

In the presence of multiple obstacles, proactively work to resolve the issue and still get the job done

  • Equally effective in both written and verbal forms.
  • Build personal and group credibility with the internal and external customers by taking initiative and providing excellent service
  • Interpret trends and critical relationships in complex situations to identify issues beyond what is immediately apparent
  • Use analytical techniques to identify process inefficiencies and recommend quantified improvements  

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Essential

At least: 

  • 1 year of full-time work experience liaising with governance, risk & compliance teams; or
  • Completed academic experience in cybersecurity and/or data protection

Absolutely trustworthy with high standards of personal integrity (demonstrated by an unblemished career history, complete lack of criminal convictions etc.), and willing to undergo personality assessments to verify this if necessary

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Knowledge of information security standards, including ISO 27001
